Frankly Speaking...
Here we are; it’s 2008 and the snow birders are once again headed to Florida [or some other warm climates]. Swim suits, beach towels and insect repellents are coming out of the closet along with tennis rackets, surfboards and suntan lotion and, for those of us fortunate enough to get away from Winter’s trials and tribulations but facing the prospect of lengthy automotive, rail or air trips, out come our favorite audiobooks. CDs, MP3s and an ever increasing number of digital downloads fill our suitcases, pocketbooks and glove compartments to make the travel time more bearable.
For many of us however the greatest listening pleasures come from those increasingly hard to find old standbys, audiobooks on cassette. Once the dominant format for literature for listening, cassettes have been overtaken by the newer technologies. Cassette decks, players, the Sony Walkman and other players are rapidly disappearing from automobiles and retail stores.
What that means for those who already have this equipment it is getting hard to find good material to play on it. Many stores and libraries are reducing their cassette inventories in favor of the new formats and new formats are being devised all he time..

Add other search options, such as a catagory, non-fiction, author, reader, or title to further define the selection.
